Contingency Active Duty for Operational Support (COADOS)

Open to Army National Guard (ARNG), Army Reserves (USAR), Individual Readiness Reserve (IRR), and Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA). 59A STRATEGIST

Combines strategic analysis, wargaming techniques, and operations research tools to influence strategic and operational challenges and opportunities that drive change from idea to impact; focus areas include institutional strategy, joint and multinational warfighting, theater strategy, force structure and employment, and force management. Conducts theater, joint, and combined campaign analyses across the spectrum of conflict in a Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) context to inform critical senior leader decisions within the HQDA, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and OSD. Designs and facilitates wargames to evaluate current and future warfighting capabilities.

57A MODELING AND SIMULATION INTEGRATION OFFICER (M&S)

Responsible for developing M&S resourcing opportunities and collaboration across the army, services and joint M&S enterprise. Responsible for integrating and supporting the six communities of training, acquisition, test and evaluation, intelligence, experimentation and analysis while also coordinating with Army Futures Command, cross-functional teams. Conduct program management and oversight of AMSO's investments portfolio valued at over $21 million (as of March 5, 2020). Facilitate M&S governance and decision making through the modernization of the M&S enterprise to support army priorities. Provide leadership and guidance for the execution of technical working groups, forums and key M&S leader engagements. Develop and deliver executive-level knowledge briefs of M&S concepts for understanding and situational awareness.

49A OPERATIONS RESEARCH AND SYSTEMS ANALYST (ORSA)

Responsible for supporting the Center for Army Analysis' mission of conducting decision support analysis for senior level decision-makers as a campaign analyst and study director. Conducts theater, joint, and combined campaign analysis for Combatant Command OPLANs and DoD Multi-Service Force Deployment planning scenarios. Employs operations research, systems analysis, and wargaming disciplines to develop analytical approaches and methodologies in support of the Army Staff, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense. Coordinates and integrates methods including strategic level wargames, sophisticated quantitative and statistical techniques, and high-end models and simulations to include the Combat Sample Generator (COSAGE) model. Supports Campaign Analysis Division and Center for Army Analysis leadership initiatives.
